I’m trying to get a Ethernet cable from a switch to a wall socket. I’ve wired the socket and RJ45 myself. When I connect the tester the power light comes on but no other lights illuminate at all. The tester is working on other cables.

Any thoughts on what’s going on here? If my socket or RJ45 connector had an issue I would think that I’d see some lights to indicate a problem.
