Can anyone assist with this so my computer was recently connected via a network adapter to a LAN that includes a router through which traffic passes to the Internet. The adapter was configured to use TCP/ IP, and you need to test its ability to communicate with other computers on the LAN and on the Internet. How do i go about it step by step?

Please clarify your specific problem or add additional details to highlight exactly what you need. As it's currently written, it’s hard to tell exactly what you're asking. See the How to Ask page for help clarifying this question. If this question can be reworded to fit the rules in the help center, please edit the question.

  • You should try to supply more details to your question, as this will help other users understand your problem and provide answers. Do you have any reason to suspect that your computer cannot communicate with others (e.g. unable to access websites in browser)? Are any other computers on your LAN experiencing connectivity issues? What have you done to ensure connectivity (e.g. reset router, checked that LAN cables are properly connected)? What OS is your computer running?
