I am suspecting a virus has been decided to make my computer his confy home, since 3 days ago, my CPU usage has always been higher than 10% (usually between 25-35 until I uninstalled few apps than it dropped to 10-25), the computer tempretures has rise 10-15C (from 40-45 to 55-65 during regular use, and from 75-85 to 90-95 during gaming), I have also noticed that since than my GPU has been turning on and off regularly, which didn't happen before (see screenshot).

Both Avast and BitDefender antiviruses found nothing, and the issue remained after using the reset feature in windows.

I think seeing which process is using my GPU would lead me to the virus.

Disclaimer: I am sorry if virus is not the correct term, I am aware of my technological illiteracy.

  • Unlikely a virus if you reseted Windows (it would have been better to reinstall thought). What you describe is normal, especially the higher temperatures. With age, PCs tend to be less efficient due to thermal paste drying and dust accumulation. Nothing to do with viruses or malware.

@Tomer.A , what you're saying is theoretically possible, but I don't know of any utilities that scan graphics cards for antivirus.

  • @GabrielaGarcia I know it should get hotter with time, but I am certein it is a virus since I have downloaded a pirated game, and every happened immidiatly after which, as I said, this happened at a specific moment 3 days ago, not over a long period of time.
