I have a brother fax machine MFC-L2710DW in a small office at a Massage envy it is hooked into the phone line with a splitter sharing same port as the phone which is a VOIP and it is interfering with the phone lines and will not send nor receive a fax although I did get it to send a fax the other day.

If your phone really a VOIP phone, wired to a computer or router over an eight-wire RJ-45 connector network cable instead of a regular phone line... or do you have a VOIP service which directs phone calls to an analog (two wire) phone system?

I have it connected to the network via rj45 so it can be can print for all 3 computers in the office and connected to the phone line thru the in port on the machine hooked into same line the phones are on.
