Walburga Black (1915 — 1985) é filha de Pollux Black e Irma Crabbe. Walburga se casou com seu primo de segundo grau Orion Black e tiveram dois filhos: Sirius e Régulo Black. Orion e Walburga acreditavam que Voldemort estava certo quanto a purificação da raça bruxa e prezavam os ideais sangue puro. Dessa forma, tinham Régulo como filho favorito, já que Sirius possuía ideais diferentes de sua família.
Sirius saiu de casa aos dezesseis anos, e foi queimado dos registros familiares. Walburga também fez questão de queimar o nome de seu irmão Alfardo, por ter deixado dinheiro para o rapaz. Régulo era o orgulho da mãe, mas o rapaz tornou-se um Comensal da Morte e ao desistir de seguir Lord Voldemort, foi morto. Com Régulo morto, Sirius na prisão, e Orion tendo morrido no mesmo ano em que seu filho, Walburga ficou morando sozinha no Largo Grimmauld 12, até sua morte, quatro anos depois de Harry Potter ter derrotado o Lord das Trevas pela primeira vez. Sua única companhia nos últimos anos de vida era o elfo doméstico Monstro.
Walburga deixou uma pintura de si mesma no hall do Largo Grimmauld, com um Feitiço Adesivo Permanente. Esta constantemente constrange os membros da Ordem da Fênix, berrando sem parar, os chamando de "escória" e "traidores do sangue".
