For the last couple of days my computer has been turning off randomly and rebooting/taking a lot longer than normal to turn back on. I noticed my hard drive is quite full, so I decided to get a new one today. After connecting the hard drive I attempted to turn on the machine, however the PSU starts and the motherboard lights come on for a couple seconds and then it turns off and tries to boot up again with the same thing happening.

I took out the new hard drive and it is still failing. I then proceeded to check if the PSU is still working with the paperclip trick and it boots up fine.
