After you install Visual Studio 2019, the adalsql integration for Linqpad and Redgate will be broken. You also won't be able to see the separate line item for it in the Add/Remove programs as you could before. In order fix adalsql, you will need to do the following after installing Visual Studio 2019.

  1. Navigate to C:ProgramDataMicrosoftVisualStudioPackagessql_adalsql,version=16.0.61903.25110,chip=x64,language=en-UA

  2. Right click the MSI and select Uninstall

  3. Go to https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48742

  4. Down the x64 bit version and run it.

After this installation, you should be able to use Redgate and Linqpad with integrated auth.

Thanks to Adam Hammad for this information. Hope this will helps others as they upgrade their Visual Studio to 2019.
