I am new to exim4 so I've read the doc's and there is a little problem of understanding the structure. The config file is divided in many parts, that gets "compiled" somehow, that's what i know so far.

My main problem is, where do I add my "headers_remove" option. I am using google as an external smtp server and I want to remove my IP (for ddos purpose) and the exim4 version. I've tried to add the headers_remove below the "smtp_remote:" line (in "exim4.conf.template")

headers_remove = X-SA-Exim-Connect-IP:X-SA-Exim-Mail-From:X-SA-Exim-Scanned:X-SES-Outgoing:

and other different options but it doesn't seem to work. After analyzing the headers, it shows the same old information

(I did "update-exim4.conf")

It would be nice, if anyone could help me :)
