GRUB console instead of menu after fresh Debian install

I originally had Win 10 and Ubuntu 16.04 installed, but I chose to replace Ubuntu with Debian 9. The install from live USB went alright, but now my system boots to a GRUB console with ubuntu in the first line. I'm guessing that I'm seeing the console because GRUB was installed before the Debian installation and didn't get overwritten.

Here's what I'm currently seeing on boot:

GNU GRUB version 2.02~beta2-36ubuntu3.14

Minimal BASH-like line editing is supported. For the first word, TAB lists possible command completions. Anywhere else TAB lists possible device or file completions.

grub> set pager=1 grub> ls (hd0) (hd0,gpt5) (hd0,gpt4) (hd0,gpt3) (hd0,gpt2) (hd0,gpt1) (hd1) (hd1,gpt4) (hd1,gpt3) (hd1,gpt2) (hd1,gpt1) grub> ls (hd0,gpt4)/ ./ ../ lost+found/ boot/ etc/ media/ bin/ dev/ home/ initrd.img initrd.img.old lib/ lib64/ mnt/ opt/ proc/ root/ run/ sbin/ srv/ sys/ tmp/ usr/ van/ vmlinuz vmlinuz.old .cache/ grub> set root=(hd0,gpt4) grub> linux /boot/vmlinuz-4.5.0-8-amd64 root=/dev/sda4 grub> initrd /boot/initrd.img-4.9.0-8-amd64 grub>

Those commands and a final boot command (taken from this page) allowed me to boot into my newly installed Debian partition. However, I don't know how to access my Windows partition in this manner. But rather than typing these commands each time, I'd much prefer to choose an OS from the standard GRUB menu.

Once logged into Debian, I followed this guide and verified the install.

# file /boot/efi/EFI/debian/grubx64.efi 

/boot/efi/EFI/debian/grubx64.efi: PE32+ executable (EFI application) x86-64 (str

ipped to external PDB), for MS Windows

# efibootmgr --verbose | grep debian

Boot0002* debian    HD(1,GPT,ddef9476-3700-495b-a29c-88b19857bc8e,0x800,0x96

000)/File(EFIDEBIANGRUBX64.EFI)

Everything looked fine to me (except maybe HD0 should've shown up from the efibootmgr command), so I rebooted, but I got the GRUB console again. What steps should I take to get everything working the way it should?
