I've installed both forks. Both seem to be pretty solid systems. I also had a good look at the underlying code ,repositories, docs, PRs, contributers, issues, etc, but I still can't make up my mind.
My final decision will largely depend on the availability of documentation and the underlying development environment.
- I wonder if literature about SugarCRM is still a good learning resource. How far away have they moved from their parent?
- How relevant are learning resources written for SuiteCRM for vTiger (&vv)?
- I have seen the official docs and the forums. Can you point out relevant blogs or other learning resources?
- I want to integrate a couple of other systems with the CRM: For example Api calls to my billing systems, pulling data from a domain registrar or a hosting providers, etc). Which system is more attractive for working with APIs and webhoks?
- I've found a book about SuiteCRM for Developers by Jim Mackin. It is no longer available but I wonder if it is still relevant...
Cheers,
Patrick
