I am trying to host a website. In this regard I have collected a real ip and bind it to the IIS manager in windows server 2012 r2. In the DNS configuration I set it like
server : mydomain.com
address : ... ( real ip )
Name : www.mydomain.com
address : ... ( real ip )
(nslookup result)
I am not using any microtik router but directly connected the ethernet cable to pc (server). I configured the ipconfig as the ISP provider gave me. But still its not visible to everyone. Anyway I have opened my port 80 in inbound rule and complited the port 80 open check tool which gave me positive result. What can I do now to make my website visible to everyone.
In the dns configuration I set webhost(A) only as like www : ... (real ip), no alias(cname). the nameserver with real ip. another host(A) record is ns1 : ... (real ip). In the reverse zone there is two pointer under the same real ip to mydomain.com and www.mydomain.com. In domain registrar i have set two entry, one is :... (real ip) and the second is www:ns1.mydomain.com (cname record). The records for ipv6 comes automatically, I did not set it and in ip config I set ipv6 for auto detect.
I have renamed my pc as ns1 to have the nameserver as ns1.mydomain.com in the dns configuration. In SOA record the primary server looks like ns1.mydomain.com. I have configured the ADDC with mydomain.com.
