Every time I refresh or go to other websites using Chrome (running on Windows 10), it automatically pops up "opening file" window. I usually press Esc to close this window. Even if I click any file there, it doesn’t do anything, but closes the window pop up as well.

I deleted the all cookies, extensions and even reinstalled chrome, but it still didn't fix it. I use Chrome with the same Google login ID from another computer without any problem.

Can anyone help with this issue?

  • It doesn't do anything. It just closes the window pop up. I usually just pressed "Esc" to close the window.

  • Also, what are the other file types available in the File Type drop-down? Perhaps that would give us a clue what's triggering this behavior.
