I have some doubts about how to wire the AM4 Box Cooler SR3 to an AsRock X470 Taichi motherboard.
On the motherboard are the pins AMD_FAN_LED1 and USB_5, and according to the mainboard's quick installation guide (p. 25) one can either one or the other, but not the two at the same time.
If using the USB_5 socket, I'm not sure about the orientation of the connector.
The USB_5 male connector has 4 pins (page 32 of the guide), but there are only 3 cables (white / black / green) attached to the female socket (the two remaining holes on the left and the right of the connector have no metal inside).
I'm not sure how to orientate the cable; page 25 of the guide would suggest to flip the cable 180° as compared to the picture I shot.
If using the AMD_FAN_LED1 socket, there is a small arrow on it.
I assume it is to specify the 12V pin, but I'm not sure as the meaning of this arrow it isn't mentioned.
I want the configuration to be as much hardware as possible as I need reliability more than fun led stuff. In this context, I guess thart using the USB connector (requiring AMD utility "SR3 Settings Software") would be a than better choice than using the AMD_FAN_LED1 connector (requiring AMD utility "AsRock Polychrome RGB"). Correct?
