I can't seem to find information about bypassing Linux page cache when using pv. I was hoping for a better alternative than using sync mount option or Linux drop_caches? With dd, I would fallback to using conv=fsync. Though I prefer pv, as it displays transfer speeds and estimated time till completion?

With dd, I would fallback to using conv=fsync. Though I prefer pv, as it displays transfer speeds and estimated time till completion?
