We use a "ThinkCenter" (unfortunately I don't have more information about it and we don't have admin mode) desktop PC that produces sound from its internal speakers and we want to mute it but not mute sound when headphones are plugged in.
We tried all the solutions from How to mute laptop speakers independent from headphones Windows 10 but none of them work:
- There is only one playback device in the sound panel, so we can't disable it because that will disable headhone sound as well.
- If we set the volume to 0 on the speakers, it will not bounce back to its old levels when headphones are plugged in.
- There is no option to separate the devices in the Lenovo Realtek control panel.
- We can't change the driver because we have no admin mode.
