I'm a total OCD person about buying a laptop (budget < $900), and been wanting to get one that can handle video editing and photoshop, etc, so I asked around and they told me since I can't afford a workstation I should go for cheap gaming laptop.

I assume gaming computer means laptops with good graphic card, So I'm thinking of buying a Lenovo 330s with 1050 gtx, i7-8550U, hard drive of 128GB SSD + 1TB 5400 RPM, but having doubts again.

Can someone let me know if these specs are good for my purposes? Or do I have to get an actual gaming pc, like Dell G7 or something to be able to use it for my purposes (or else the laptop will not be able to handle the apps and get too hot or break or something)? Thank you very much for your guidance.
