Say I have a SBC with a USB type-C port capable of both DRP and DP alt mode. Such as this board or maybe this. Theoretically, I should be able to plug a USB-C cable into a computer with a USB-C host port into the USB-C input of the SBC, given that the computer and cable both also support DP mode. If I were to set up such a rig, at first I thought I would need some special drivers (possibly related to this?), but then I remembered ffmpeg and gstreamer.

If I were to connect a PC's USB-C DisplayPort enabled port to a SBC with a DisplayPort enabled slave or DRP port, would I be able to record the screen of the PC via the SBC? I have seen a similar thing accomplished with HDMI in, but I know HDMI in shows up as /dev/video1 or something similar on those systems (accomplished by a custom OS I believe, from this blog post). If this even is possible, will I have to come up with the drivers to do such myself?

I am open to using the HDMI in of the OrangePi if absolutely necessary, but I would much rather use USB-C for obvious reasons.
