It's said somewhere in the Bible that as Christians, we must go out and evangelize.
What if I want to believe in Jesus but do not want to evangelize people?
I like doing good deeds for people, such as helping the elderly, the blind, the homeless.
If I accept Jesus and believe in Him, and study the Bible, and continue to do good deeds in my fleshly life, is this "enough" to enter Heaven when I physically die?
Some Christians that I met recently told me that it's not enough -- and that evangelizing is a requirement, since it's in the Bible.

This question appears to be off-topic. The users who voted to close gave this specific reason:
- "Questions asking for the truth or validity of a particular doctrine or belief (aka Truth Questions), and questions asking Is X a Sin? are not a good fit for our site, due to their subjective nature, and the vast number of possible Christian opinions on such topics. See: We can't handle the truth" – curiousdannii, Nathaniel

@Nathaniel a Christian's viewpoint, I guess? I'm not sure, tbh. I'm still feeling the initial shock from hearing the strict requirement from my new Christian friends that evangelizing is a requirement to enter Heaven. Does that make sense? So, from the viewpoint of the Bible, I would say ...

@user45280 You may get an answer at the other Stack Exchange site Bible Hermeneutics but you would need to attach your question to a specific text (Romans 10:9 ?) in order to be on-topic on that particular site.

Do you know what kind of church your new Christian friends go to? A Catholic church, a Presbyterian church, etc.?

@Nathaniel they don't go to a church but they conduct bible study in school and are kind of like a cult. (I've been exploring these bible study groups as well as going to church on Sundays, and I'm finding that I prefer to go to church for Sunday Service, as it's less brainwash-y / cult-like, and the sermons are really fascinating to hear ... )
