GWT Eclipse installation differs from official instructions
Is eclipse installation portable?Return deleted project from Eclipsestep by step instructions for installing eclipse on Windows 7?How do I change the Java version of my “installed project facet” in Eclipse?Flash Builder taking over file associations on OS XEclipse for web developmentHow to configure “Run server-based XPages applications directly on Domino server”?Unable to properly create new Eclipse projects for Drools or Guvnor in Windows8 (server options aren't displayed and Drools disappears)Eclipse: g++: command not foundeclipse installation and netbeans plugin update problems
This is a fresh install of Eclipse and GWT so there is nothing to migrate from GPE. I also was able to launch the sample project in Chrome from command line but want to use Eclipse.
I am following the instructions here: http://www.gwtproject.org/doc/latest/tutorial/index.html
which leads here for the Eclipse installation part: http://www.gwtproject.org/usingeclipse.html
But it starts differing from "Install the Plugin".
This is what my "installed" looks like on Eclipse Marketplace:
screenshot
But when I go to "Create a Web Application", I don't have "File>New>Web Application Project". Instead I have to click on the GWT icon and get a dropdown box or choose "File>New>Other to get a pop up window where I can select "GWT Web Application Project".
After creating a project, there is no option to use App Engine as well. I click Finish.
Then there is no "Debug As>Web Application" from the popup menu after right clicking on the project. Instead I get GWT Compiler, GWT Development Mode with Jetty and a few more that doesn't include plain old Web Application.
What happenend to my installation that led to this mismatch?
Here is my Eclipse version:
Eclipse IDE for Enterprise Java Developers.
Version: 2019-03 (4.11.0)
Build id: 20190314-1200
