I have an local application server (Minecraft) running on my Windows 10 powered laptop and I wish to expose the local server to the Internet. I cannot port forward the server on my router as I don't have access to it.
I've made a diagram of what I wish to do; I thought about whether I could use an SSH tunnel to port forward the local port (25565) and expose this port to the Internet (with the added benefit of the SSH tunnel acting as a proxy).
I want to know how I can achieve this using the PuTTY client and a VPS server running Ubuntu 16.04.

Your diagram is confusing since it does not include a modem/gateway.
